Prime Minister's visit to UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Official Visits to France and the UAE: Strengthening Partnerships and Diplomatic Engagements"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting France and the UAE from July 13 to July 15, 2023. He has been invited by President Emmanuel Macron of France for an official visit to Paris. After his visit to France, he will make a stopover in the UAE.

The India-France-UAE partnership was formed in September 2022, focusing on areas such as nuclear and solar energy, climate change, and biodiversity.

PM Modi's Agenda in France

During his visit to France, Prime Minister Modi has been invited as the Guest of Honour at the French National Day, also known as Bastille Day. This day commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison during the French Revolution. India has been chosen as the guest of honour for this year's parade. Senior officials from the Indian armed forces are already in Paris for the parade rehearsals.

The visit holds significance as it aligns with the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership. The personal rapport between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron further enhances their interactions.

President Macron is expected to extend special gestures during the visit, which may include multiple meetings with the Prime Minister, such as a private dinner and a joint meeting with CEOs. A State Banquet at the famous Louvre Museum on Bastille Day is also likely to be hosted.

Prime Minister Modi will engage with the entire political leadership of France, including President Macron, Prime Minister Borne, and the Presidents of the Senate and National Assembly.

During his visit, PM Modi is expected to sign a deal for the acquisition of 26 Rafale-Marine fighters for the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier. Additionally, there may be an order for the construction of three more Scorpene class submarines at Mazagon Dockyards Limited (MDL) through the "Make in India" initiative.

After completing his visit to France, Prime Minister Modi will spend a day in the UAE.
It is worth noting that PM Modi made a stopover in the UAE last year while returning from the G7 Summit in Germany and had met with President Al Nahyan during that visit.
